misfitzsoftball.com is the home of the Misfitz softball teams. It is owned and operated by SolidDev LLC. This page says what the site keeps about players and visitors and what we do with it.
What the site stores
Team admins enter the roster: player names, jersey numbers, positions, and the game stats recorded from the scorebook. They may also add a player's email address and mobile number so the team can reach that player; both are optional and are never shown on the public pages. Admins also record whether each player is male or female, because the coed league's lineup and fielding rules count it; that is never shown publicly either. Game photos and videos uploaded by admins are published for the team.
A player can sign in with a one-time link sent to the email on their roster entry to manage their own notices. Signing in sets one cookie that keeps them signed in for 30 days or until they sign out.
Admin accounts carry a name, an email address and a password hash. Signed-in admins may have their admin sessions recorded to help us improve the site; visitors who are not signed in are not recorded.
A player with an email on the roster may receive game-day notices and schedule changes from the team. Ask a team admin to remove your address if you would rather not get them.
Text messaging
Text and WhatsApp notices are optional. They carry game-day reminders and weather and schedule updates. A player opts in on their notifications page by ticking the box for texts or for WhatsApp, next to the full terms, or by messaging the team number and telling the team bot what to send. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out. A player can also opt out on the notifications page or by telling the bot to stop. A team admin cannot sign anyone up for texts: they only go to a number whose owner opted in one of those two ways.
We keep a record of each opt-in and opt-out made on the notifications page: the number, the date, the wording shown, and the IP address and browser it came from. No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages you asked for.
Who sees it
Names, numbers, stats, photos and videos are public on the team pages. Email addresses and mobile numbers are seen only by the team's admins and by the services that deliver the notices (our mail host and our messaging provider). We never sell any of it. We may disclose data when required by law.
Your choices
Players can change their own notices on the notifications page. To see, correct or delete what the site holds about you, or to stop any notice, ask a team admin or email paul@soliddev.us.
Retention
Roster and game records are the team's history and are kept for as long as the site runs. Contact details are removed when a player asks or when the roster entry is deleted. Admin session recordings are deleted after ninety days.
